On this page I showed how to make a homemade T-bar row attachment for your power rack. The problem with the T-bar row attachment is that it only pivots up and down so it limits your range of motion which limits the type of exercises you can do.
The landmine attachment not only moves up and down but swivels as well making it useful for many more exercises (see the videos below).
My homemade post landmine is made from my T-bar row attachment and the Olympic adapter sleeve from my Ironmaster leg extension that I have been cutting up for various homemade pieces of equipment like this one
You really don't need that long of a threaded rod; I just got lazy and used the length I had. Also, you could get by with a locknut on the very ends and maybe one regular nut between the nipples. I would use 4 washers though.
You don't need to have an adapter sleeve to make this; use a 1-1/2" x 4" galvanized pipe nipple instead. The adapter sleeve is pretty long so I needed four plates to make this work, but my Body Solid plate tree has a sleeve that holds an Olympic bar that works perfect for the post landmine:
Here's a close up of just the homemade post landmine and yes I can't drill a hole straight through a pipe to save my life! I need to invest in a drill press.
